Emma Fridé is a filmmaker, screenwriter and editor based in Paris. She graduated from the editing department of La Fémis, the National Cinéma School, in 2022. Her background includes maths and philosophy, and teaching French at the University of California, Berkeley.
Her works question the thin line between reality and fantasy. She addresses contemporary topics, set in imaginary worlds she builds using found footage and homemade vfx, as well as live action.
Her short-films were screened in various festivals around the world and in museums such as Le Musée National des Beaux Arts de Quebec and La cinémathèque française.
Parallel to her directing work, she also wishes to continue to be at the service of other film directors' singular stories through editing and screenwriting.
